My very first ever book signing is going to happen this weekend! It fills me with joy AND anxiety, all at once. Here, on the banks of the Columbia River (see picture, taken by Barb Seiders), the authors from a local group know as the Wordherders, will be sitting shifts at the Tumbleweed Festival 2016 in Howard Amon Park to sign copies of our books. We will be there to both represent and recruit for the group…not that there is much to the recruiting. We all just love writing and want to share the experiences with others who want to do the same.
I will bring the few copies I have of All Fall Down, Part 1: Spring Showers to sell and sign during my slot on Sunday, Sept 4 from 11-1. I had hoped to have the next installment of the series, Part 2: Summer Secrets, out by now, but c’est la vie. I will keep plugging away at it – it is half way, at the very least!
Of course, we will also be handing out information about our upcoming Rivers of Ink writer’s conference, as well. It will be held Oct. 7-8 at the Richland Public Library, also here in Richland, WA. Registration for that is open now and all registrants are entered into the weekly drawings for signed books from the Rivers of Ink presenters. A fourth winner will be drawn this weekend, and there are more than four more to come in the weeks ahead.
So, if you are in the area, please come check out our booth. I will be there for my signing on Sunday, Sept 4 from 11 am – 1 pm. We will have authors covering shifts 11am-5 pm on both Sat and Sun.
And don’t forget, you can sign up for a FREE copy of my short story collection, just to the right of the page here. I promise, I do not spam or send out many emails at all. *crossmyheart*
